In partnership with the City of Troutdale, the Sandy Drainage Improvement Company (SDIC) is developing a Drainage Master Plan to guide future capital projects and drainage priorities over the next 10-15 years. The plan will evaluate the condition of pipes, drainage ditches, and pump stations that collect and direct rain water in order to identify areas that need improvement and prioritize future investments to better prevent and manage flooding for communities in this area.
The plan will also include recommendations related to the operation and maintenance of pipes and ditches, upgrades to pump stations, construction of new and replacement infrastructure, and opportunities to improve stormwater quality. Management of the levee system is not included in this planning effort.
As part of the early stages of the development of the Drainage Master Plan, SDIC and the City of Troutdale are seeking input from residents, property owners, and businesses about drainage issues in or around their property. Help shape future priorities related to flooding and infrastructure maintenance by completing this survey by Friday, September 6th, 2019. Responses submitted after this date may not be incorporated into the planning process.
